The federal government of Pakistan has decided to give relief to the people on petroleum products, electricity and gas in view of the coronavirus. According to media reports, the meeting will be chaired by the Prime Minister today. Ministers and senior officers of the petroleum and power division will attend the meeting. The Prime Minister will be briefed today on how to give relief to the Prime Minister.
Sources say Lifeline consumers are likely to get more relief while various suggestions have been made for domestic, commercial and industrial industries. The suggestions for the reduction in oil prices will be put before the Prime Minister while all the suggestions will be made. The meeting will be finalized in today's meeting, sources said, adding that the social team will also brief the Prime Minister on possible economic relief.
It should be noted that the number of corona-infected patients have increased to 799 in Pakistan. As of 12 o'clock on Saturday night, the total number of Corona cases was 630, but now the number has increased to 799 in Sindh and Gilgit. It was reported that 41 new patients were confirmed in Sindh on Sunday, 27 in Punjab and 16 in Gilgit-Baltistan. The total number of corona patients in Sindh today is 352, Punjab 225, Balochistan 104, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 31, Gilgit-Baltistan 71, Islam 15, Kashmir and one a patient infected with Corona.
Pakistan has suffered 6 deaths due to coronavirus while paramilitary people have recovered. Lockdown has not been decided in the country yet. Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again said that the debate about locking down the country is underway; I want to inform him that this means imposing curfew in the country. Addressing the nation, the Prime Minister said that I can do this, but our problem is that 25% of Pakistanis are living below the poverty line and they will not have enough resources to support their wives for two weeks.
